Mortal Online - Looks good
No its not an MMO about getting drunk.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/mortal-online-hands-on?page=1
One bit that intrerests me:
"Just for example: our 'boss-mobs' don't respawn, if you kill the mighty dragon, it's dead and stays dead. This will alter the course of the
world, and thus make history. You and your guild managed to start a rebellion and kill the emperor of Tindrem? Gratz, you just changed the world for
ever. Things like this, actually shaping the world, the lore, the future history of the game is what players can achieve - if they want to. It's all
about choices and consequences."

well worth a read.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and
too rare to die.

I think God is a sentient tractor called Terry who lives underground.
Terry is amazing.
Consequences.... are just a harmless by-product of having a good time, all the time.
Thinking about things isn't the same as doing things. Otherwise everybody would be in jail.

Yeah I've created the account waiting to get money to preorder this and try the beta. It's supposedly similiar to UO which for me is a gimme.

Would expect a few more to like the look of this, real time action, fps style mmo.
Full pvp no restrictions hardcore etc.

Hmmm ... so, if you were determined enough, could you perma-wipe out all the NPC/mob life from the face of the server then ?
Then all the player characters start dying off due to lack of food & clothing and have to turn to cannibalising newbies.
Then it becomes a zombie-fest and new players have to tool up and fight for their lives ...
... Bah, its been done already - Left For Dead beat'em to it.
Next mmo please ...

seems like its the epics that can be wiped out, i think there's an infinate supply of badgers and beetles.
I hear the epics are controlled by staff too, not AI. Thats cool if true. Best job ever being an in game dragon pwn'ing a big raid of people lol

3 things you need
NVIDIA Physx Drivers
http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.1112.html
DirectX 10 August 2009 runtime
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Without all 3 of these installed, MO wont work.

I full expect this game to rival Dark and Light.
There I said it, its done, out there, the game will make you want to rip your eyes out so you won't witness anything so hideous again.
It will also have snowboarding on your shield.
......I still can't believe we fell for that lol

Well I've been trying to update the sodding program and it's crawling along at the moment. Will kick it off again tonight (Got home drunk last
night at 1.30am, swore at the computer for not finishing the 2gb update in the patcher and subsequently just shut down the pc).
Will let you know how I come along.

Technically mind swifty, this is an fps! So you can file this under a different game type!
